Details on the slate device are all based on speculation at present, although it has been reported in the past that Samsung were to release a tablet that was a little bigger than the original Galaxy Tab but smaller than its recently-announced 10.1-inch Honeycomb device. It’s believed the 8.9 size pad will also come with the tablet-orientated Honeycomb OS, but apart from a vague summer release date, scant information is available on the device.
Samsung announced both of the tablets it has released so far at big tech events and so we wouldn’t be all that surprised if they stuck to tradition and announced the 8.9 inch Galaxy Tab to a global audience again. As the months get warmer, rumours surrounding this potential new tablet should hot up as well.
